The sudden passing of a young beauty queen has left the entire community in shock… what her family revealed afterward made the tragedy even more heartbreaking
A BEAUTY queen remembered as a “bright light” has died unexpectedly, leaving her loved ones devastated.
Brynn Carnesecca, who was crowned Miss American Fork 2024, is being mourned by family, friends and the pageant community following her sudden death.

No cause of death has been made public.
A fundraiser launched by her cousin, Kassidy Jackman Murdoch, revealed the family’s heartbreak as they prepare to lay the young woman to rest.
Murdoch wrote: “Brynn Carnesecca was more than just my cousin- she was a bright light in our family and community.
“As an accomplished pianist, journalist, and the creator of Envelopes of Hope, Brynn dedicated herself to sharing stories and spreading kindness. Her passion for helping others was evident in everything she did.

“Our family is heartbroken by Brynn’s unexpected passing.
“We want to honor her memory in a way that reflects her spirit and the love she gave to so many. Brynn touched countless lives through her work and her generosity, and we hope to celebrate her legacy with a meaningful memorial.”
The GoFundMe says donations will help cover funeral costs, create a memorial in her honor and support relatives as they cope with the tragedy.
Murdoch added: “Your support will help the family cover funeral expenses, create a memorial that truly honors Brynn, and provide comfort to her loved ones as we navigate this difficult time.
“We are grateful for any help you can offer. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help us honor Brynn and support our family.”
More than $16,000 had been raised through 126 donations by Tuesday, reaching close to its $20,000 goal.
The Miss Utah Scholarship Organization also paid tribute to Carnesecca, saying she “brought so much light” to both the Miss Utah and Miss American Fork programs through her “kindness, friendship and service.”
The organization said its thoughts and prayers are with the Carnesecca family during the difficult time.
Carnesecca was also awarded the Miss Congeniality Award at the 2025 Miss Utah competition – an honor voted for by her fellow contestants in recognition of the impact she had on those around her.
According to the fundraiser, she founded Envelopes of Hope, an initiative dedicated to sharing stories and spreading kindness throughout the community.
A community vigil is due to take place at sundown today at around 8.30pm at the American Fork Amphitheater.
The gathering is open to anyone wishing to remember Carnesecca and show support for her grieving family.

The Miss American Fork title is part of the Miss Utah Scholarship Organization, a local preliminary competition that gives contestants the chance to earn scholarships while advancing to the statewide Miss Utah pageant.
Titleholders spend the year representing the city at community events, promoting charitable causes and competing for the Miss Utah crown.
