Festival Horror: Teen D-i-e-s Just Weeks After Her 18th Birthday at Popular UK Music Festival, Leaving Family Heartbroken
A TEEN has died at a popular UK music festival just weeks after her 18th birthday.
Lucy Halpin, 18, died in hospital after emergency services raced to Tonnau Festival in North Wales at 1.45am on Saturday morning.

It is currently unclear what caused Lucy’s death with police treating it as “unexpected” as investigations continue.
Lucy’s workplace, Breeze Hill Bar, Eatery & Hotel paid tribute to the teen saying they were a “broken pub full of broken hearts“.
They said she was “taken away from us” just a few weeks following her 18th birthday.
“Lucy wasn’t just staff, Lucy was a member of our extended family and was treasured by us, our customers and her colleagues, many of whom became her close friends,” the tribute read.

“Lucy was caring, funny, clever and always smiling. Lucy was exceptionally good at looking after our customers, many of whom will miss her lots.
“Our thoughts are very much with Lucy’s family and friends. Lots of her closest friends have visited The Breeze this last week and their pain and sorrow is clear to see. Lucy was like a glue between them, a magical bond.”
Lucy’s sister Jessica, also spoke of her heartbreak saying “you had your whole life ahead of you”.
Her friends have now launched a fundraiser to help Lucy’s family “so we can give her the best send off she deserves”.
It said: “Anyone who knew Lucy would know she was kind, caring and a good friend, everyone around her knew how bright and funny she was.
“She lit up every room she walked into and put a smile on everyone’s face without fail.
“But on early hours Saturday following a medical incident at Tonnau festival, she was tragically taken away from us too soon, with her whole future ahead of her she will be carried in all our lives with love and will be deeply missed.”
The festival organisers said previously in a statement that they were “deeply saddened” to confirm an attendee had passed away “following a severe medical emergency”.
“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the attendee’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time,” they said.
“From the moment the attendee became unwell, our on-site welfare teams, security, and emergency medical staff responded immediately.
“Paramedics and welfare personnel did everything they could to provide emergency care, but unfortunately they later died in hospital.
“The safety and well-being of our audience is always our highest priority. Following this tragedy, and to allow emergency services and local authorities to conduct their necessary work, we made the decision to close the remainder of the festival and have asked people to vacate the site when it is safe for them to do so.
“We are cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation.
“We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all our attendees, staff and volunteers during this incredibly difficult situation.
“Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we will be making no further comment at this time. Our thoughts and hearts are with the family.”
North Wales Police said in a statement that emergency services had attended Tonnau Festival at around 1.45am on July 11.
“Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, sadly, the 18-year-old woman later died in hospital,” the force added.
“The death is being treated as unexpected whilst investigations are ongoing and the coroner has been informed.”
Detective Inspector Iolo Edwards said: “Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.
