POLICE have launched a search after a man has gone missing at a popular UK lake.

Llyn Geirionydd is a 45-acre lake nestled on the lower slopes of the Carneddau mountains in Snowdonia.
North Wales Police said that the man’s family has been notified as it continues in its search.
It has told the public to avoid the area as emergency services continue with their work.
The body of a 21-year-old man had recently been recovered from the lake just 11 days ago.
