Mystery Deepens After British Woman Found De-a-d in Suitcase as Investigators Find No DNA or Fingerprints
GREECE’S ‘FBI’ has joined the probe into the death of a Brit who was found stuffed in a suitcase in Athens, sparking a major probe.
Elisabeth-Jane Ross, 38, was discovered by a homeless man in a derelict building in the Kypseli district of the Greek capital on July 18.

An investigation is now underway involving Greek and Brit cops.
Interpol were even involved to help identify the Scotswoman’s body when DNA and fingerprints were found.
Elisabeth’s cause of death has yet to be determined, but homicide cops from Greece‘s national force, the Hellenic Police, are leading the efforts to find answers.
But they have called in backup from the organised crime division – the country’s equivalent to the American FBI.

The unit was set up two years ago to help tackle the country’s most major investigations.
The investigation into Elisabeth’s death is yet to be declared a murder probe – but cops have fast-tracked her autopsy toxicology reports.
Police spokeswoman Konstantina Dimoglidou told the Times: “We have made it a priority so we can have results in the coming days.
“Then we will know how she died. This can’t wait.”
A fresh twist in the probe came when it emerged cops had found no DNA or fingerprints on the suitcase Elisabeth’s body was inside.
It was hoped forensics on the bag would lead to vital clues but nothing was discovered.
It is believed Elisabeth told friends in Greece she was visiting American friends in Kypseli on July 15 but the Americans have yet to be found.
Ms Dimoglidou added: “We’ve had the entire homicide division of the Greek FBI working night and day on the case.

“We’re in contact with other police forces. We’re going to solve this. July 15 was the last day she had contact with any of her friends.
“Our investigations are focused on the intervening days and whom she may have met and where she stayed.
“The Americans have not been identified or found. There is always the possibility that she died and then for some reason was hidden.
“Our priority is to get to the bottom of who left the suitcase. Whoever they were was careful not to leave any fingerprints or DNA.”
It is feared Elisabeth may have been murdered by a homeless man she was helping.
She had carried out charity work across the world.
Local media has reported Elisabeth was seen speaking with homeless people in the area, while Greek cops are said to be looking for a man named “Markos”.
Scottish cops are also believed to be carrying out investigations in Inverness.

It comes as Elisabeth’s heartbroken dad revealed he received haunting text messages from his daughter’s phone after her mysterious death which read: “I need some quiet time, I want to be alone.”
Greek officials learned that from July 15 to 29, several messages had been sent to Elisabeth’s relatives pretending to be her.
