SH-O-CK: Arrest Made in Greece After British Woman Is Found De-a-d Inside Suitcase—CCTV Footage Reveals Disturbing New Lead
Greek police have arrested a man after he allegedly admitted to transporting the body of a Scottish woman in a suitcase to an abandoned building.
The body of Elisabeth-Jane Ross, 38, was found inside a suitcase inside the building in Athens on July 18, eight days after she was first reported missing.

Ross had been staying in the Piraeus region of the city with her family, arriving in Greece on June 16, according to police.
The BBC said she had also stayed with Greek friends in the Keratsini area.
Greek police announced a man, 26, had been arrested in connection to Ross’ murder, as well as other offences.
The man, believed to be originally from Afghanistan, has not been formally charged yet as the exact charges need to be finalised under the Greek legal system.
“A criminal file has been opened against a 26-year-old foreign national for intentional homicide, robbery and violation of the law [regarding] weapons,” the statement from Greek police said.
“As confirmed, the victim arrived in the country on June 26 and stayed at the home of friends until July 10, from where she departed to an unknown [location].”
“The subsequent preliminary investigation … using investigative material and digital analysis of video footage, proved the involvement of the 26-year-old foreign national in the incident.
“[He] was brought in [for questioning] on 30 July and confessed to his actions.”
According to the BBC, the man admitted to transporting the body, but not to killing Ross.
Greek police claimed they had seen video evidence of the man using the victim’s bank cards to withdraw money.
During a search of the man’s home, police reported they found weapons, “some real, some fake”, as well as a knife.
A cause of death has not been found, but Greek police are attempting to fast-track a toxicology report to remove the mystery surrounding Ross’ death.
Police are also attempting to track down two of Ross’ American friends, who were reportedly staying in Kypseli, the district in Athens where the suitcase was found.
Greek police have also been assisted by authorities from the United Kingdom, as well as the United States.
