Police Confirm Teen Murd3r Suspect Knew Zane Robson as Chil-ling New Questions Surround Fatal NSW Stab-bing
A teenage boy and a woman have been charged after a young man was allegedly stabbed to death on the NSW Central Coast.
Zane Robson, 22, had just stepped off a bus on Mann St in Gosford when he became involved in a fight with a teenage boy about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
Police allege Robson was stabbed in the chest and abdomen with a knife believed to have a 15cm blade.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was rushed to Gosford Hospital, where he later died.
Following investigations, police arrested a 15-year-old boy and a 45-year-old woman at a home in Lake Haven, about 40 minutes north of Gosford, early on Saturday morning.
Police allege the boy was known to Robson.
He has since been charged with murder.
He was refused bail and is due to appear before a Children’s Bail Court on Saturday.
The woman has been charged with hindering the apprehension of a person who committed a serious offence.
She was also refused bail and is due to appear before Bail Division Court 6 on Saturday.
Robson’s family has been left devastated by the loss of “a much-loved son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend”, according to a GoFundMe page set up to support them.
“At just 22 years old, his life was taken far too soon in a senseless act of knife violence in Gosford,” the fundraiser said.
“No family is ever prepared for a loss like this.”
The family remembered Robson as a “bubbly, happy, and inquisitive child” who loved motorbikes and following his siblings around.
“While Zane had his own personal struggles in life he was a remarkably kind person who always showed deep love, empathy, and compassion toward his parents, big brothers, little sister, family and friends,” the tribute said.
It said he “would have gladly helped anyone in need, and always said ‘I love you’ at the end of a phone call”.
“He will be missed more than words can say.”
