Millions Went Unclaimed After ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Star Daveigh Chase’s De-a-th — New Claims Raise Emotional Questions

“Lilo & Stitch” star Daveigh Chase was “too far gone” to collect millions of dollars in residuals she had sitting in an account as she spiraled into addiction, her manager told The California Post.

Chase was just eight years old when she landed the voice of Lilo in Disney’s classic film and signed a deal that gave her a cut of merchandise sales, residuals, theme park attractions, and other products using her voice — rather than a one-time payment, John Ryan said.

Ryan, who managed Chase for more than a decade, continued to receive SAG-AFTRA notices to his office reporting she had unclaimed residual checks. Ryan told The Post there was “millions” in unclaimed money.

Chase was “too far gone,” allegedly hooked on heroin and fentanyl, to collect the money despite Ryan’s attempts to get in touch with Chase over the years.

Ryan added it’s usually next of kin who can collect residuals after someone has died — which would put Chase’s father in a position to get the money.

The “Lilo & Stitch” star surfaced in a video on social media in late 2025, obtained by The California Post, which showed her looking hauntingly thin and barely conscious in a trailer parked on Skid Row.

Ryan and Chase’s step-sister, Gaia Brown, hired a private investigator to help find the former child star and get her the help she so desperately needed, Ryan told The Post.

After the video of Chase popped up on social media, Ryan said he had tried to go down to Skid Row in an attempt to save her and get her into treatment but she “disappeared.”

A GoFundMe started by Chase’s boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, has claimed to raise money for her cremation — but Ryan offered a word of caution.

“Apparently, a man claiming to be her ‘boyfriend’ that none of us friends or her family has heard of has set up a GoFundMe on ‘her and her families behalf’ that he set her up as the organizer. I can confirm Daveigh has a trust account set up at SAG to cover all costs,” he told
