During Tuesday night’s episode, Sam and Victoria headed to the terrace and shared a smooch.
But when he returned to speak to the other boys, he gave them high-fives before he remarked: “I wish it was Namibia.”
He later told Namibia about the kiss and insisted again that he would have preferred it to be with her.
The next day, he whisked her away to the hideaway before planting a smacker on her too.
ITV2 viewers have been left horrified by his actions and have taken to Reddit to share their thoughts.
One person fumed: “I don’t care what anyone says his comment after kissing her was disgusting and dehumanising.
“I personally think that he’s waiting for blonde to come in and is using both of them as a place holder.”
Another Reddit user raged: “I actually think the way his moving is very icky!!

“He knows his their ticket into the villa and it’s seems like his doing his very best to come across like he has game.”
Somebody else commented: “Agreed, he’s too naive to see that they’re only using him to stay in the Villa. I got the extreme ick after this episode.”
Yet another person penned: “I’m shook… I was a huge supporter and now I’m just….”
While a fifth added: “Sam is treating these girls like objects and its a bit icky to be honest.”
Even former islander Scott Van Der Sluis waded in as he said on X: “The ‘nice guy’ who suddenly gets a bit of attention and starts trying to impress the boys storyline is so boring.”
Sam didn’t have the easiest of starts in the villa and was unable to find a connection.
During the first recoupling, he was forced to be in a friendship couple with Robyn.
She had made a play for Sean but he decided to couple up with Lola.
After spending a week with no romantic connections, the boys were backing Sam when Victoria and Namibia walked in.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
