BREAKING: Chil-ling Twist Emerges After Man Found Sh0t De-a-d Inside Car in Brazen At-tack
Multiple shots have been fired during a “brazen” attack in Sydney’s northwest on Wednesday.
A member of the public found a man’s body inside a car in the driveway of a North Rocks Rd home in Carlingford about 7am.
Homicide detectives are now investigating exactly when the man was shot.
Neighbours told 7NEWS they heard a gunshot roughly two hours before the grim discovery was made.
The victim, a man in his 30s, is yet to be formally identified, but police believe he was known to them.
A white sheet covered his body in the driveway behind a large, brick fence cordoned off with police tape on the road now closed to traffic.
“We’re currently making attempts to get in touch with the man’s family,” NSW Police Acting Superintendent Michael Marinello.
Marinella said that multiple shots were fired.
“It does seem to be a very brazen attack,” he said.
“We do not believe that this is a random attack, we believe this is an isolated incident and so we can reassure the public that there is no ongoing threat.
“There are people who were home at the time, and they are assisting us with our enquiries.”
Police will be speaking with witnesses, and collecting CCTV footage as preliminary investigations continue.
