Devastating new details have emerged just days after a young girl was killed in a horror Canning Vale crash.

Four-year-old Layna Leavy died in a nightmare collision at the intersection of Garden Street and Boardman Road in Canning Vale on Wednesday, June 3, which also left her mother and brother injured.

In the wake of the freak incident, a GoFundMe has been launched to help support the distraught Leavy family.

The fundraiser describes young Layna as “a little girl with an infectious smile and a warmth that filled every room she walked into”.

“No words can describe the depth of this loss, her family are living through every parent’s worst nightmare.

“Every donation, no matter the size goes directly to them, to ease the financial burden and give them the space they need to grieve, to heal, and to honour their beautiful girl.”

In a crushing revelation, the fundraiser revealed that the young family are Irish expats who had recently moved to Perth for a new life.

“In June 2024, Layna’s parents; Saoirse, Graeme and her brother Glen made the decision to leave Ireland and build a new life in Perth,” the page reads.

“In less than two years, Layna had already woven herself into the hearts of so many, here in Australia, and across the community they had left behind in Ireland.

“The outpouring of love from the local Perth community and from Ireland is a testament of the impact this little girl had on so many lives and a reminder that Layna was, and always will be, deeply loved.”

Support has flooded through for young Layna from both Aussie and Irish soil, with more than $50,000 donated in the short time the fundraiser has been active.

It aims to ease the financial burden on a heartbroken family.

Layna’s mum Saoirse Wynne last week posted a touching tribute for her daughter online after the tragic incident.

“Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces. Four years on this earth was never long enough,” she wrote.

“I hope you felt nothing but love in your life and loved every single adventure we went on.

“I hope you continue to sing and dance in the sky and forever in our hearts.”

Tributes and flowers have been left at the site where the young girl was passenger inside a Holden Astra that collided with a Ford Mustang.

She was left critically injured and rushed to Fiona Stanley Hospital, but could not be saved.

Her mother and brother were left with minor injuries.
