A 13-Year-Old Boy Was K!:lled at the Scene as Three People Were Arrested Following a Horrific Crash Involving a Suspected Stolen Vehicle in NSW

Three people have been arrested after a 13-year-old boy was killed in a crash involving a suspected stolen car in the NSW Hunter.

Emergency services responded to reports of a crash at Gateshead in Lake Macquarie about 3am.

Officers discovered a SUV had left the road and crashed into a nearby field.

First responders attempted to revive a 13-year-old boy but he died at the scene.

A 14-year-old boy, who was inside the vehicle, suffered leg injuries and was arrested at the scene.

Police said two other occupants of the car fled the scene before officers arrived.

An 18-year-old man and another 14-year-old boy were later arrested. They are in John Hunter Hospital under police guard.

A crime scene was established and the crash is being investigated.

Following inquiries, police said the car was stolen from the Swansea area overnight.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
