Five protection officers have reportedly been banned from working at royal residences after complaints of misogynistic behavior at Kensington Palace
Kate Middleton and Prince William have a residence at the London palace, but they were reportedly not involved in the decision to ban the officers
A spokesperson for the Met Police told The Sun, “The reported behavior falls below the high standards expected of officers, particularly those in frontline protective roles”
Five protection officers have reportedly been banned from working at royal residences after complaints of misogynistic behavior at Kensington Palace, the London home of Kate Middleton and Prince William.
The Sun reported on May 30 that the Metropolitan Police investigated five Royalty and Specialist Protection officers following allegations of “inappropriate” comments made between August 2023 and September 2024, including a remark that Kensington Palace was “full of little Hitlers.” Another officer allegedly requested to become Facebook friends with the female palace employee, who first complained about the conduct in October 2024.
A source told The Sun: “Comments from the officers were perceived as misogynistic, though the allegations were tame and none were sexual in nature.”
PEOPLE has reached out to Kensington Palace and the Metropolitan Police for comment.
Prince William and Princess Kate — who lived primarily at Kensington Palace and maintain a residence there but moved their home base to Windsor in 2022 — had no direct involvement in banning the officers but were informed of the decision, per The Sun.
