Concerns were initially raised after Zandile Tshuma, 42, and her daughters Natalie, 15 and Nala, five, had not been seen for several days.

Officers later forced their way into the luxury £1.3million detached home on Carnoustie Drive.

The bodies of Zandile and her children were then discovered upon arrival on Monday – prompting cops to launch a murder investigation.

Cops have now released a CCTV image of suspect Tshuma, who is believed to have flown from Heathrow Airport on a British passport on July 4.

Bedfordshire Police believe Tshuma – a British citizen of Zimbabwean heritage – may have travelled to Zimbabwe.

The force has now issued a direct plea to the dad, who is wanted in connection with all three deaths.

Detective Inspector Lee Martin, senior investigating officer, warned that “criminal investigation knows no borders”.

He said: “We know that Mark Tshuma left the country on Saturday and is now believed to be in Zimbabwe.

“We are urgently working to find and apprehend him, and would appeal to him directly to hand himself in.

“Mark, unthinkable harm has been caused to those around you, and this has left your relatives and friends utterly devastated.

“We are actively working with national and international agencies to pursue every available line of enquiry to track you down.

“Please do the right thing, come forward and hand yourself in to local authorities.

“Our thoughts are still very much with Zandile, Natalie and Nala, as well as all of those who loved and knew them, at this extremely difficult time.”

It comes after grieving neighbours spoke of their shock amid the tragedy, as they described the family as “well to do”.

They told MailOnline: “They had a five series BMW car which I’d see them cleaning.

“He must have had a good job to afford that and to buy the house which has been renovated in the last few years.”

The detached four-bedroom, four-bathroom property, complete with a swimming pool, was bought around two years ago for £1.3million.

Another woman, who laid flowers outside the family home, said: “We are really sorry to lose her, she was such a gracious mother.”

Senior IT executive Mark spent more than a decade working for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

He went on to become Head of Development and Support, according to his LinkedIn profile.

It describes him as an “experienced, results oriented and energetic IT leader with a proven delivery record”.

He also claims to have broad expertise in people management, stakeholder engagement and project and programme management.

Mr Tshuma studied Management Information Systems at Solusi University in Zimbabwe.

He later graduated from the University of Plymouth with a BSc (Hons) in Computing Informatics in 2005.

Major crime units from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Constabulary are leading the investigation.
