💔 SHE WAS THE MOST KIND AND CARING LITTLE GIRL… — THE HEARTBROKEN FAMILY OF 14-YEAR-OLD LILLY JONES HAS BROKEN THEIR SILENCE AFTER SHE WAS FOUND D-E-A-D IN THE WOODS… AND ONE DETAIL IS LEAVING EVERYONE HEARTBROKEN

A 14-YEAR-OLD who was stabbed to death just 500 yards from her home has been described as “the most beautiful, kind and caring girl”.

Lilly Jones was missing from home for three days after going to her local high street before she was tragically found dead by search teams.

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene but Lilly – who was identified through DNA – was tragically pronounced dead on June 22, in Duffryn Park in Blaina, South Wales.

Her grief- stricken parents have now paid tribute to their daughter, saying: “The word ‘heartbroken’ doesn’t come close to what we feel.

“We’d like to focus more on Lilly and what a beautiful person she is rather than the horrific thing she’s been forced to endure.

“Lilly is the most beautiful, kind and caring little girl we had the privilege to call our daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend.

“She is completely and utterly herself, she’s quirky and confident, sassy and dramatic and loves her music.

“Her eclectic taste in music took us from My Chemical Romance to Kate Bush and absolutely unapologetically sang every word on the top of her voice, no matter who’s listening.

“We could write a book about how amazing and accepting of all types of people she is, advocating for anyone who needed her to.

“Our loss has left an unimaginable hole in not only our lives but in the whole community.

“We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the community for their never-ending support and donations.”

A 14-year-old boy has appeared in court accused of murdering Lilly.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was remanded into custody until his next court appearance.

No plea was taken at a previous court appearance with a trial lasting four weeks set to begin on November 23.

Tragic Lilly’s cause of death was given as multiple injuries to her chest and neck at an inquest opening earlier this week.

The inquest heard Lilly was reported missing at 10.19pm on June 20 and her body was discovered in woodland at 10.07pm on June 22.

A post-mortem examination was carried out by Dr Richard Jones who provided a provisional cause of death as multiple stab wounds to the neck and trunk.

Detective Chief Inspector Steven Thomas said: “Our thoughts remain with Lilly’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“Her family continue to be supported by specialist officers.

“I want to reiterate that it is vital that people consider how their language, especially comments made online, could affect our ability to bring anyone found to have committed a criminal offence to justice.”

Lilly’s home town of Blaina, Gwent, has raised £20,000 for a memorial her.
