JUST 3 MINS AGO: MEGHAN MARKLE IS REPORTEDLY SET TO RETURN TO THE UK WITH ARCHIE AND LILIBET FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOUR YEARS TO REUNITE WITH THE ROYAL FAMILY… BUT ONE UNEXPECTED DETAIL ABOUT THE TRIP IS RAISING A WHOLE NEW WAVE OF QUESTIONS…

MEGHAN will travel to Britain this week with Archie and Lilibet – but not attend any public events.

The Duchess of Sussex has not been in the UK for four years and previously said she would not join her husband in London due to security concerns.

She was expected to join Harry at a one-year out event at Birmingham’s NEC for the Invictus Games but will no longer make an appearance.

It is understood that despite travelling to the UK Meghan will not attend the event on Friday.

But the arrival of Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, raises speculation they could meet their grandfather King Charles for first time since 2022.

Harry has only seen his own dad, the King, twice in the last two and a half years.

And Charles has not seen his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet since Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Meghan has not visited since the Queen’s funeral that September.

Harry reportedly had hopes of taking his children to mum Di’s grave at Althorp, Northants, for the first time during his visit.

Concern around security prevented Meghan and the kids joining Harry earlier in the trip.

The Duchess was reportedly in a mystery location in Europe with her children when Harry landed in the UK earlier this week.

Charles is understood to have offered up space in Buckingham Palace for Harry and his family to stay in – which would have come with existing security.

The King’s offer was then rescinded however, with a palace source saying the Duke had failed to accept Charles’ invitation in time, despite reports to the contrary.

It is understood that Harry failed to provide appropriate notice to the palace – leading to the invitation being withdrawn.

Harry also reportedly declared the accommodation unsuitable before officially turning down the King’s offer to house his family.

Royal Household sources this week told The Sun they were “weary” and “wary” about the ever-changing plans for Harry and his family’s return.

In January, we revealed Harry wanted to bring his family for the long-planned trip this week.

Last Friday, it was officially announced Meghan would bring the children and she would join Harry at an engagement.

But days later after apparently learning they had lost a security review admitted plans for Meghan, Archie and Lilibet were being reassessed.

Yesterday, Harry was seen for the first time after his crushing High Court defeat as he stepped out for meetings at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

He attended meetings for his Invictus Games Foundation just half a mile away from his dad the King who was visiting the British Transport Police at the opening of the force’s new headquarters.

In a huge victory for Press freedom, every single one of the 97 allegations made by the Duke and his pals was rejected at the High Court.

After the ruling, Harry hit out at the “complete and obvious whitewash” in an extraordinary rant against the judge.

The Duke of Sussex was one of seven high-profile claimants seeking damages from Associated Newspapers Ltd over claims of unlawful information gathering.

The group included Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish, actresses Liz Hurley and Sadie Frost and campaigner Baroness Doreen Lawrence.

They had accused journalists of hiring private investigators to hack voicemails, blag private medical records, and listen in on phone calls.

But High Court trial judge Mr Justice Nicklin said the claimants failed to prove any of the allegations.

He accepted that every one of the 55 articles complained about was lawfully sourced.

Last night Associated Newspapers hailed the judgment as “an overwhelming victory” and “a magnificent vindication of the Daily Mail’s journalism”.

Editor-in-Chief Paul Dacre said the “trumped-up” case was a “sinister bid” to impose statutory regulations on the Press.
