Prince William would remove Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal titles “in a heartbeat” after their “hissy fit,” a royal commentator has claimed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were notably absent from the commemorations in London marking the late Queen Elizabeth’s centenary on Tuesday.

The Royal Family paid tribute to the late monarch by carrying out a series of engagements at the British Museum, Buckingham Palace and Regent’s Park on what would have been her 100th birthday. But Harry, who reportedly sent flowers to his late grandmother’s grave, and his wife, were miles away in Montecito, California.

It came just a few days after the couple completed their four-day trip Down Under, carrying out a number of engagements linked to their passions and projects.

The last time the Sussex couple travelled to Australia was during their time as working royals in 2018.

Two years later, they quit the Firm and moved to the US for a new life, with the late Queen being adamant they can’t be “half-in and half out”.

Now, a royal commentator touched down on the late Queen’s approach and noted on the heir’s stance, comparing it to that of his father, King Charles.

The Sun’s Jane Moore said: “Remember when our late Queen — who would have been 100 this week — told Harry and Meghan that they couldn’t be ‘half-in, half-out’members of the Royal Family and they flounced off to America in a hissy fit?

“Well, four years after her death, they are ‘royals for sale’ and no one seems able, or perhaps willing, to stop them.

“Prince William, one feels, would remove their titles in a heartbeat, given half the chance.”

She added: “But it seems that King Charles, about to embark on a state visit to the States, is perhaps paralysed by his love and responsibility to his troubled youngest son, and maybe a spot of guilt too.”
