The Kyle and Jackie O Show ended in March, but there’s been a fresh update on what is happening behind the scenes.
Three key members of The Kyle and Jackie O Show team have been made redundant, months after ARN officially axed the show in March.
Content assistant Alfie Laguzza, audio producer Dean Royston known as “Hulk” and producer Eliza Brown were today told their roles were no longer needed.
News.com.au understands the three staff members had no heads-up and were surprised by the development.
The trio found out their jobs were on the line via calendar invites to meetings with HR this morning.
“It is really sad they’re all super talented and super loyal to the show, and they do crazy hours, and it’d be such a shock to them,” a source told news.com.au.

A spokesperson for ARN told news.com.au the broadcaster had done its best to keep as many jobs as possible.
“ARN has been able to redeploy the majority of team members from The Kyle & Jackie O Show,” the spokesperson said.
“Unfortunately, a small number of roles could not be accommodated elsewhere in the business, and those individuals will be leaving ARN.
“Our focus is on ensuring everyone impacted is treated with care and respect and supported through this transition.
“We thank them for their contribution during their time at ARN.”
Peter Deppler, known as “Intern Pete” to Kyle and Jackie O fans, is now working on The Christian O’Connell show on the network’s GOLD FM.
Mr Laguzza also works for Kyle Sandilands outside of his role at KIIS, as the operations officer for his private company King Kyle.
Mr Royston has the show’s name, “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” tattooed on him – a tattoo he got before he started working on the show.
It’s understood other members of the team were shocked by the redundancies, but have become used to the network’s decisions taking them by surprise.

News.com.au understands that the close-knit team are completely in the dark about the show’s future – and many are worried about keeping their jobs.
If KIIS had hoped to contain the news internally, the broadcaster had no such luck, as all three immediately took to social media to share it.
Mr Laguzza shared that today was “surprisingly” his last day with KIIS and thanked everyone for the “support, belief, and guidance” they’ve shown him.

He also added a meme on his Instagram Stories that read, “When your boss asks you to join a meeting, and it is only them and HR”, and tagged Mr Royston.
Mr Royston also posted on social media, saying he was on to “bigger and better things”, but thanked the fans and crew of The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Ms Brown followed suit, saying she had finished up at KIIS, calling it the “ride of a lifetime”, and adding she was lucky to work with amazing humans.
The redundancies may have blindsided the three workers, but considering The Kyle and Jackie O Show has long been known as having the biggest team in radio, it isn’t a huge surprise to those in the industry.

A lot of popular radio shows only have a team of around five, but The Kyle and Jackie O Show — whose breakfast slot has since been filled by Mike E and whatever fill-in guest can be rustled up — has at least 10 staff members.
KIIS is undergoing a period of change after the termination of both Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson earlier this year.
Both are now contesting their terminations separately and legally.
Meanwhile, ARN announced last week that Karl Stefanovic and Eddie McGuire will host a Friday afternoon show on its secondary network GOLD.
