Police Appeal for Help as Concerns Grow for Missing Gold Coast Man Daniel Hidden

Police and family members are urgently seeking public assistance to locate a 26-year-old man who has been missing from the Gold Coast since the early hours of Sunday, June 14.

Daniel Hidden was last seen at approximately 3 a.m. leaving an address on Chelsea Avenue in Broadbeach. According to Queensland Police, he was driving a silver Hyundai Santa Fe wagon bearing Queensland registration 672LI3 and towing a Galaxy-brand caravan.

His disappearance has sparked growing concern among both investigators and loved ones, who say it is completely out of character for him to lose contact with family and friends.

The search intensified after police located Daniel’s vehicle and caravan abandoned in a car park on Currumbin Creek Road in Currumbin Valley at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16. The discovery raised further questions about his whereabouts and prompted authorities to expand their inquiries in the surrounding area.

At this stage, police have not indicated whether foul play is suspected, but they have confirmed that serious concerns exist for Daniel’s welfare.

“Police and Daniel’s family hold serious concerns for his wellbeing as his disappearance is considered out of character,” authorities said in a public appeal.

Daniel is described as being approximately 180 centimeters tall with an average build and olive complexion. He has long black hair, a black beard, and brown eyes.

When he was last seen, he was reportedly wearing a maroon-colored top and black cargo pants.

Family members have been left distressed by the sudden disappearance, especially given the lack of communication since he was last seen. Friends and relatives say Daniel would normally remain in regular contact and that his current absence has caused increasing alarm.

The discovery of his vehicle and caravan in Currumbin Valley has become a key focus of the investigation. Police are working to establish Daniel’s movements between the time he left Broadbeach and when the vehicle was found more than two days later.

Investigators are believed to be examining potential CCTV footage from nearby roads, businesses, and public areas in an effort to trace his route. Officers are also speaking with anyone who may have encountered Daniel or noticed the vehicle in the days before it was recovered.

Currumbin Valley is known for its rugged terrain, dense bushland, and popular hiking routes, creating additional challenges for search efforts. Authorities have not disclosed the full scope of their search activities but continue to pursue all available leads.

The case has attracted attention across southeast Queensland, with social media users sharing Daniel’s photograph and details in hopes of helping locate him safely.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen Daniel, his vehicle, or the caravan between June 14 and June 16 to come forward. Even information that may appear insignificant could prove crucial to the investigation.

Authorities are also appealing directly to Daniel.

“If Daniel sees this appeal, police urge him to contact family or police to confirm his safety,” investigators said.

As the search continues, family members remain hopeful that answers will emerge soon and that Daniel will be found safe.

Anyone with information regarding Daniel Hidden’s whereabouts is urged to contact Policelink online or provide information through Crime Stoppers. Police stress that community assistance may be critical in helping locate the missing 26-year-old and bringing relief to his worried family.
