Princess Beatrice’s husband has broken his silence regarding his frequent absence from his family with a brutal four-word comment. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has been married to Beatrice since 2020, with the couple now sharing two young daughters, as well as Edoardo’s son, nine-year-old Wolfie, from a previous relationship.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Edoardo defended his extensive trips, especially during a challenging period for Beatrice given the scandal surrounding her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The property developer maintained that the trips were essential for the survival of his company, Banda Property, saying that “it is completely normal”.
He told the publication: “As you well know, it is completely normal for a business owner to travel for work. It happens in every industry.”
Back in January, the same month that the couple’s second daughter celebrated her first birthday, Edoardo embarked on a three-week business trip across the United States.
While visiting Los Angeles and Palm Beach, Florida, he was accompanied by his colleague, Holly Payne.
He shared various pictures on his personal Instagram account, with one post captioned with: “A quick glass of vino with Holly: easing into the time change and the energy of Coconut Grove.”
Piers Morgan posted a few pictures on Instagram earlier this month capturing Edoardo at Le Club 55, the ultra-exclusive beachfront restaurant in St Tropez, renowned for its lavish daytime parties.

According to the Mail, Beatrice had accompanied her husband to the French Riviera, with the trip arranged as respite for the royal.
The 37-year-old is, however, thought to have spent the second day in the French Riviera in the hotel room after falling ill.
Whilst Beatrice is said to have maintained contact with her father, her sister Princess Eugenie is said to have severed contact with Andrew.
