A BLACK PORSCHE IS FOLLOWING ME..! – Tradie’s chilling message to his brother shortly before he was s-hot d-ead at Melbourne sporting oval

A tradie messaged his brother to say he was being followed by a black Porsche shortly before he was shot dead at a sporting oval in Melbourne‘s north.

Emergency services were called to the Lalor United Sloga FC complex in Thomastown shortly after 7.30pm following reports that shots had been fired.

Daniel Hussein, 22, was found critically injured from a gunshot wound and died at the scene.

The young plumber was due to be married later this year, Mr Hussein’s father told media.

He said his son messaged one of his three brothers shortly before he was shot, saying he was being followed by a black vehicle with no number plates.

Mr Hussein’s father added that he does not know why his son was targeted.

‘My son was killed on Father’s Day and my birthday,’ he told Seven News.

The unknown gunman remains on the run, with no arrests made as of Monday.

The park was cordoned off as homicide detectives launched an investigation.

Mr Hussein is understood to have been in the reserve’s car park assisting a friend caught up in a dispute when he was shot.

One neighbour recalled hearing an argument outside before watching the horrific incident unfold when they went to investigate.

‘I saw a black SUV drive into the car park, then I heard the commotion,’ they told the Herald Sun.

Mr Hussein jumped onto the car’s bonnet and kicked at the getaway vehicle and its headlights before falling to the ground as it sped off.

It remains unclear at what point Mr Hussein was shot.

‘He managed to walk towards the footpath and that’s where he collapsed,’ the neighbour added.

A red ute was later towed from the scene as dozens of Mr Hussein’s distraught friends and family gathered near the cordoned-off soccer complex.

‘We were driving past after 7.30pm and, yeah, we just saw police flying down Victoria Drive,’ another local recalled.

‘Family were just arriving, and friends as well. And just people sitting on the ground crying and yelling out, Daniel’s gone.’

Abdallah Hussein shared a heartbreaking tribute to his nephew online.

‘I watched you grow from that little boy I carried into the hospital into the beautiful young man you became,’ he wrote.

‘I always believed that one day, when my time comes, you would be the one carrying me to my grave.

‘I never imagined that I would have to say goodbye to you first.

‘I still cannot understand that I will never see your smile again, never hear your voice, never watch you walk through that door again.

‘You were not only my nephew. You were a piece of my heart. A part of my life. A child I helped carry into this world and someone I thought would be there until the end of mine.’
