A Melbourne teen who died after being involved in an accident on his way back from a Socceroos game is being remembered for his infectious smile.
A Melbourne community is in mourning after a teenager was killed and his two mates seriously injured after they were involved in an accident on their way back from a Socceroos match.
Cesare Liberatore is being remembered as a “beautiful” and much loved young man after he died when the car he was travelling in was involved in a collision in Attwood, in Melbourne’s north-west, about 7am Saturday morning.
The 18-year-old was on his way back from watching the Socceroos’ World Cup match against USA at Melbourne’s Federation Square when police say the car he was in veered onto the wrong side of the road.

Cesere was taken to hospital where he died surrounded by family.
His mates Julian, also 18, and Oscar Lococo, 17, sustained serious injuries.
The drivers of two oncoming cars involved in the accident, a man in his 20s and a man in his 50s, were also take to hospital with minor injuries.
A GoFundMe set up for Cesere’s family says: “He was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and the way he could make anyone feel welcome.
“Whether it was through his sense of humour, his generosity, or simply being there for the people he cared about, Cesare brought light into the lives of so many.”

His grandmother described him as a “beautiful” teen and told the Herald Sun that friends have flocked to her door to offer their condolences.
“You can tell the measure of a person by the company they keep. These kids – every one of them – are just beautiful.”
Cesere was in Year 12 at Gladstone Park Secondary College where counselling is being provided for staff and students.
Just over $41,000 has been raised to support his family through this difficult time while a similar amount has been raised in a separate GoFundMe to support Julian and Oscar through their recoveries.
