Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are flying across the pond to the UK in a few weeks, and they will bring their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet with them. While the main purpose of the visit is for Harry to attend the one-year Invictus Games countdown, it is believed it is also to show his children a snippet of life in Britain where he grew up.
It is likely that Harry and Meghan will take their children to meet certain royal relatives during their UK trip, with a meeting with King Charles believed to be highly likely. This is because the King reportedly wants to know his grandchildren better, having not seen them since 2022. However, there is one thing that could get in the way, according to former royal butler Grant Harrold.
Speaking to AceOdds exclusively for the Daily Express, Grant Harrold, who worked for the King between 2004 and 2011, when he was a prince, said the hurdle could be a diary clash.
However, he thinks this will be unlikely and that the monarch will definitely try to see his son and family.
Harrold said: “I think the only thing that will stop it happening is if there is a diary clash. The King goes up to Scotland for the summer, but I’m sure he will do everything he can to make it work. “This will be extremely important to the King and he will make it a priority.”

Talking about the meeting, Harrold added: “I would be amazed if Harry and Meghan don’t meet the King and Queen when they’re in the UK next month.
“While there have been different reports on how much communication there has been between them recently, I think it’s something both the King and Harry will want to make work. This could be a big step on their journey to reconnect, so it will be a crucial meeting.
Harry last saw his father in September when he last visited the UK.
However, as Meghan, Archie and Lilibet have not stepped foot in the UK since 2022, it is believed they haven’t seen the monarch in all this time.
