🚨 BREAKING: CCTV Allegedly Captures Suspect With Suitcase as Chil-ling Discovery Sends Murd-e-r Investigation in New Direction
CCTV footage appears to show a man wheeling a suitcase through Athens shortly before a missing Scottish woman’s remains were found inside the bag at a derelict building.
The body of Elisabeth-Jane Ross, 38, was found on July 18, eight days after she was reported missing, after a homeless man detected a strong odour from an empty building in Athens’s Kypseli neighbourhood.

A 26-year-old man, believed to be originally from Afghanistan, has been arrested.
Greek police say he admitted to moving the woman’s body but has denied murdering her.
Ross was a member of the congregation at an independent Christian church in Edinburgh and had been volunteering in Athens with a refugee support group, the BBC reports.
The arrested man has not been formally charged yet, as the exact charges need to be finalised under the Greek legal system.

“A criminal file has been opened against a 26-year-old foreign national for intentional homicide, robbery and violation of the law [regarding] weapons,” the statement from Greek police said.
“As confirmed, the victim arrived in the country on June 26 and stayed at the home of friends until July 10, from where she departed to an unknown [location].
“The subsequent preliminary investigation … using investigative material and digital analysis of video footage, proved the involvement of the 26-year-old foreign national in the incident.
“[He] was brought in [for questioning] on 30 July and confessed to his actions.”
Greek media reported that CCTV footage appears to show the suspect arriving at the derelict building on the night of July 16 with a suitcase, before leaving a short time later carrying only a backpack.
Greek police claimed they had seen video evidence of the man using the victim’s bank cards to withdraw money.
During a search of the man’s home, police reported they found weapons, “some real, some fake”, as well as a knife.
A cause of death has not been found, but Greek police are attempting to fast-track a toxicology report to confirm the circumstances of Ross’ death.
Police are also attempting to track down two of Ross’ American friends, who were reportedly staying in Kypseli, where the suitcase was found.
Greek police have also been assisted by authorities from the UK, as well as the US.
