It’s been a tough few months for Mrs Hinch but brighter days are here(Image: @mrshinchhome/Instagram)
Cleaning guru Mrs Hinch was recently rushed to hospital as she shared a worrying diagnosis with fans.
However, just a few weeks before, the star – real name Sophie Hinchliffe, welcomed her third child, a baby boy called Vinnie. The joyous occasion marked a turning point for Sophie, aka Mrs Hinch, after months marked by heartbreaking grief and loss after the death of her dad, Alan.
Taking to social media at the time to give fans an insight into the precious moment as she and husband Jamie left the hospital, she shared a short video and captioned it: “Home time”. She then posted a beautiful photo of the tot, along with an emotional snap taken just after he was born.
Not long after, on 13 March, she revealed she took herself to the hospital after suffering from some worrying symptoms. Taking to social media, she updated her fans after undergoing the operation and is now recovering. Admitting the tough year she had, she said: “I’m not really sure where to start with this week guys. I’ve actually bumped into quite a few followers in hospital. So I just thought I’d update you a bit because I share a lot with you here. The good, the bad and the ugly.

She found out she had a blood clot(Image: Instagram/mrshinchhome)
“Anyway to cut a long story short, I had a blood clot in my groin / pelvis / leg area. I haven’t had one since 2018 and then another one decides to hit me three weeks postpartum. What a 12 months it’s been.”
She also bumped into some followers in A&E and they asked her why she was at the hospital. She continued: “I told them I think I’ve got a blood clot in my leg. I was right. But keeping positive.” Sophie also revealed she had underwent an operation, explaining: “They managed to go in through my leg. They didn’t go through in my neck in the end. They hoovered out the blood clot and they hoovered my stents out. They’ve literally hoovered me which is ironic isn’t it?” I think I’ve still got quite a lot of painkillers or anaesthetic in my system so I’m probably not making sense.”

Thankfully, she’ll be heading home to the family tomorrow. Mrs Hinch had a tough year as she has been open about how she’s struggled to cope with the death of her beloved father Alan in April 2024.
Sharing the news at the time, she wrote on Instagram: “25th April 2024. My precious Dad passed suddenly but so peacefully whilst he slept. My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down. A deep unimaginable pain I cannot put into words. My loving Dad, Your workshop is locked up and I sleep with the key. I promise to keep your workshop dream going.

“Until we meet and sing together again. Goodnight Dad My absolute king Your Bubberloo. Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.”
As anyone who has lost a loved one will know, grief can hit you at any time and the star was candid about the rollercoaster of emotions she attempted to navigate following his passing.
After announcing her pregnancy, the star revealed in September last year that she was struggling to deal with her grief. Visibly upset, she shared a post praising her followers for their support. She went on to say: “I thought I was doing alright,” as she explained how she was managing her grief.
She revealed she had been helping a close friend move house and cleaning the property to keep busy, but a dream she had brought all her pain back. “I had a dream last night,” she continued. “I don’t understand how we have this grief that’s with us all the time, but when you try and do better you’re sort of knocked back on the floor again.”

As her voice continued to tremble, Mrs Hinch went on: “But yeah, I don’t know really. I’m just wondering and I was Googling at five o’clock this morning the visitation dreams and things… I just feel like I really want to try and do better and I can’t.”
She ended by asking if any of her followers had any advice on how to “start again” as she explained she was struggling again “every few days”.
She spoke of the “deep unimaginable pain” she was grappling with at the time when she first announced his death in May. Since, she has shared a number of updates with her followers while taking a step back from her usual bustling social media presence. The mother-of-three has previously discussed her father’s death on her Instagram page and offered some words of wisdom to others.
She said: “Hello everyone. How are you all? How are you all doing? I think this is the first time I have felt okay enough to just come on here and chat,” she said at the time. “I think anyone that has followed me for a long time or knows me and my family knows that I’m very very blessed to have spent most days with my dad.
“And yeah I think anyone that’s lost a parent will know exactly what’s happening right now. I thought I’d experienced some s**t in the past but this is a whole new world. Whole new world. But I’m doing exactly what my dad would want me to do and keeping strong. Keep going. Look after my mum and the house and the boys.”
