Kelly Ripa Shares Heartwarming Family News on ‘LIVE with Kelly and Mark’
Kelly Ripa had a joyful announcement for fans during a recent episode of LIVE with Kelly and Mark — and it wasn’t about her career this time.
The beloved talk show host exclaimed, “Our newborn baby is graduating in two weeks!” before clarifying that she was referring to her and Mark Consuelos’ youngest child, Joaquin.
The proud parents revealed that their son is about to graduate from the University of Michigan, marking a major milestone for the Consuelos family. Ripa shared that they’re “not quite ready to say goodbye to Ann Arbor,” joking that they’ve been “begging him to go to grad school just to keep him nearby.”
The conversation then took a playful turn when Ripa admitted that she has secretly thought about going back to school herself.
Her husband quickly chimed in with a laugh, saying, “Once Joaquin graduates, you can enroll — he won’t be embarrassed to have his mom on campus anymore!” Ripa laughed at the idea, musing about what she might study or whether she could take on a role as an adjunct professor instead.
It was a lighthearted family moment that showed fans a different side of the daytime TV power couple — proud parents navigating an emotional milestone with humor, warmth, and love.
