While romance rumours swirl and twirl around Pete Wicks and his former Strictly Come Dancing partner Jowita Pryzstal, the Polish dancer has taken to Instagram to gush about her “twinkle toes”.

Pete celebrated his 37th birthday on Saturday (1 November) and to mark the day, Jowita took to her Instagram to post a gushing message about the TOWIE star.

“Happy Birthday to my twinkle toes @p_wicks01,” she wrote on her Stories. This was linked to a series of photos she posted to her main grid. The first photo was a black and white of Pete and Jowita hugging whilst stood on a stage.

There were more photos of Pete, some of which were from behind the scenes moments on Strictly and days out the two had taken together. In one photo, Jowita tightly hugs Pete from behind as she grins at the camera.

In the caption of the post, Jowita wrote: “To someone truly special on a very special day… I’m so grateful to have you in my life. Happy Birthday @p_wicks01. I hope we’ll dance again soon.”

Pete and Jowita have been at the centre of romance rumours since their time on Strictly Come Dancing, after some of their dances on the show got a little steamy. These rumours intensified after the two reunited for a dance on stage at the O2 arena at a live recording of his podcast with Sam Thompson.

During the dance, the pair kissed, and though Pete said it was all in the name of showbiz, it sent fans wild. Pete has insisted they are just friends, but many fans still flocked to the comments of Jowita’s post to share how in love they thought the two were.

“Happy Birthday Pete, Jowita always looks in love next to Pete,” one fan wrote. Another wrote: “Finally, if they are together, someone who suits him. A lovely lady.” A third added: “I really do hope you are actually a couple.”

Pete and Jowita were partnered on Strictly last year and made it to the semi-final. This year, Jowita competed again and was paired with Ross King, but they were voted out of the competition in Week 3. Though Pete has turned returned to the show as an audience member, his primary reason for coming back was not to support Jowita, but to support his good friend Vicky Pattison.

Vicky is dancing with Kai Widdrington. The Geordie Shore star has become a fan favourite, though Pete has shared that, when he saw her on the show, he worried her nerves would be too much for her.

“I have never seen anyone so f*****g nervous. There were tears. There was all sorts before before she’d even f*****g got there. She is scared of her own shadow the f*****g woman. It is mental. But she absolutely smashed it out of the park.”

But he added that he thought she would do well on the show: “I would bet my house that she’s not going anywhere. That’s the first stage completed. You weren’t the first out.”
