The Chicago rap community was shaken after reports emerged that THF Bay Zoo — real name Devonshe Collier, a longtime associate of Lil Durk and member of the Only The Family (OTF) collective — was among three men shot in a violent incident in South Lawndale early Saturday morning.

Police were called around 3 a.m. to 3130 S. St. Louis Ave, near La Villita Park, where they discovered a chaotic scene: 20 rifle shell casings, 19 9mm casings, and five vehicles struck by gunfire.

Witnesses identified the 35-year-old victim as THF Bay Zoo, who had been shot in the abdomen and torso.
Two other men — ages 42 and 39 — also sustained injuries, with multiple gunshot wounds to the arm, back, and ankle.
All three victims were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

According to sources close to the artist, Bay Zoo is currently in stable condition, although no official statement has been released by his management or OTF members.

Known for his raw, street-driven lyricism and ties to the Tay Town Hustlers Family, THF Bay Zoo has long been a key figure in the Chicago drill scene, collaborating with Lil Durk and the late King Von on several underground anthems.

Police are currently investigating the shooting, and no suspects are in custody at this time.
