Prince William has apparently sent a strong message to his father King Charles for alleged ‘betrayal’ over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s return to UK.
According to royal expert Tom Sykes, tensions within the royal family may have resurfaced after the Prince of Wales learned about plans involving Harry, Meghan and King Charles.
The close confidant has also claimed that the monarch has been helping cover expenses connected to the trip besides the couple have been offered royal accommodation.
Amid these reports, the expert claimed, “William is so appalled by what he sees as his father’s betrayal that he refused to join a customary family lunch after Trooping the Colour last weekend.”
Sykes further said that William “left the celebrations with his wife, Catherine and his three children immediately” after the official festivities concluded.
The insiders have also told the expert Prince William has allegedly threatened to “boycott Sandringham” family gathering.
Earlier, royal commentator Mark Dolan told the Sun, Meghan’s return to the UK may be a sign that she and Harry “need to be part of the Royal Family again”.
The expert said, “They need the optics, they need the titles, they need the status, they need the elevated position it gives them because at the moment, we’ve seen that Meghan’s popularity is dropping in the United States.”
“So it’s a great moment for them and a terrible blow for Team Wales.
“Prince William will be furious.”
