Princess Lilibet helped her mom pack for her trip abroad

Princess Lilibet helped style her mom, Meghan Markle, for the Duchess of Sussex’s recent trip to Switzerland.

On May 18, Meghan, 44, sported the lilac Akris shift dress that her daughter Princess Lilibet, 4, helped her select in a new photo shared by the World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

“Delighted to present Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, with a @WHO field vest as a gesture of my regard for her commitment to promoting and protecting people’s health,” Dr. Tedros wrote below the photo, where Meghan sported the frock with her hair pulled back in a ponytail.

The Duchess of Sussex wore the look for a meeting with Alexandre Padilha, Brazil’s Health Minister, in Geneva on May 17.

There, the pair reportedly discussed the actions the Brazilian government is taking to tackle violence against children online.

The frock looked familiar as Meghan previously teased it in a mirror selfie that she shared to Instagram on May 16, co-starring her daughter.

“Mama’s little helper 💜,” she wrote below that photo, where she wore Akris’ Cashmere Silk Double-Face Sheath Dress and Cashmere Silk Double-Face Bera Coat from the Pre-Fall 2026 collection. Akris is a Swiss brand and it was a show of fashion diplomacy for her to pack the look for the trip.

In addition to Lilibet, who turns 5 in June, Meghan and Prince Harry are also parents to Prince Archie, 7.

Meghan’s selfie shot showed her wearing the lilac look with a coordinating trench coat over it in a selfie snapped in the mirror of a walk-in closet. Lili sat at her mom’s feet; two pairs of heels and a rack of outfits were also nearby. The Duchess of Sussex appeared to wear the black suit on the rack for an emotional event in Switzerland on May 17.

On Sunday, Meghan appeared in Geneva to attend the installation of the Lost Screen Memorial at the Place des Nations ahead of the opening of the 79th World Health Assembly.

The Lost Screen Memorial was created by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell Philanthropies in partnership with The Parents’ Network initiative, which they also spearheaded. The presentation features 50 illuminated lightboxes, each displaying the lock screen image of a child who lost their life to online violence and digital harm, and Meghan called for action and accountability in her remarks at the ceremony.

“We did not tell parents to create their own seatbelts. We did not ask children to test unsafe medicine. We did not shrug at poisoned water or defective toys and call it the price of progress. We acted. And now the world must act again,” she said in part during the event.

The Duchess of Sussex was accompanied by Dr. Tedros (who she previously joined on a humanitarian trip to Jordan with Prince Harry in February), global health leaders and families of children honored in the memorial. The 79th World Health Assembly runs from May 18 to May 23 in Geneva and the Lost Screen Memorial will be displayed through May 22.

Prince Harry and Meghan have made advocating for a safer online world a focus of their philanthropic work since they stepped back from their royal roles in the U.K. in 2020.

In April 2025, the couple attended the Lost Screen Memorial unveiling in New York City as part of the No Child Lost to Social Media campaign.
