The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed it is reviewing new sexual assault allegations involving Sean “Diddy” Combs, a step that could expand the legal scrutiny already surrounding the music executive’s federal conviction. Prosecutors have described the matter as an active review, as they determine whether the allegations warrant further action. The complaint was first filed in Florida and later sent to Los Angeles authorities because the alleged conduct is said to have occurred there.

The accuser, publicist Jonathan Hay, submitted a police report last September in Largo, Florida, outlining two incidents he says took place in 2020 and 2021. In his account, both episodes unfolded in Los Angeles during professional work tied to a remix project involving CJ Wallace, the son of Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace. Hay alleges that Combs entered those sessions unexpectedly and carried out the conduct described in his filing.

His report includes explicit descriptions of the alleged encounters. In one, Hay claims Diddy masturbated into a Notorious B.I.G. shirt before instructing him to “come finish him off,” ejaculating and then throwing the shirt at him. In a second, he alleges he was isolated in a room, labeled a “snitch,” and forcibly subjected to sexual contact. The allegations remain unproven in court and have not resulted in any new charges.

LAPD Review Advances as Combs Case Faces Renewed Scrutiny

Law enforcement agencies, including the LAPD and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, previously conducted separate investigations before forwarding their findings to prosecutors last fall. A spokesperson for the District Attorney’s Office, Venusse Dunn, confirmed the status of the case on June 2, saying, “We are reviewing the case,” on June 2. Hay, in a statement, described the development as significant and personal.

“Standing as a survivor of the actions involving Sean Diddy Combs and Christopher CJ Wallace, I view the validation of my accounts by the LAPD and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as a critical juncture. This development represents a substantial advancement in my pursuit of complete accountability. Justice is prevailing.”

The allegations come as Combs serves a 50-month federal sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey following his conviction for transporting women across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges and is currently appealing the federal verdict.
