It is no secret that Kyle Sandilands is desperate to get back on-air after being turfed off ARN, and there’s been a shocking development in the saga.

Kyle Sandilands is not planning to cut off his nose to spite his face and is open to settling with ARN if there is a “reasonable” offer on the table.

According to a source, Kyle is prepared to at least consideran offer from ARN after his $100 million contract was terminated.

The source explained that the shock jock wants to avoid a drawn-out trial that would keep him off the air for months.

“If there was a reasonable figure that made him feel like he didn’t get totally f***ed over … yeah,” the source explained.

“He is a righteous guy, and he could just go, ‘Let’s take this to the end, but no one loves the idea of court.”

ARN turfed Kyle off its airwaves in March and terminated him for “serious misconduct” after a now infamous on-air clash with Jackie O.

The shock jock almost immediately launched legal action against ARN and is seeking to have the remainder of his $100 million contract honoured.

News.com.au understands that Kyle would be prepared to get back on air and host the breakfast show just like normal if ARN would let him.

The source also pointed out that so far, the entire legal process has been rigorous, and Kyle isn’t interested in hearing more “unflattering” claims.

“(This legal case) is not a nice thing,” the source said.

The source added that you have to remember that Kyle’s bankrolling his own legal case against ARN, and he’d prefer to be spending his money on other things.

“Kyle and Jackie are playing with their own money here,” the source added.

Kyle has already said that he has “mortgages to pay just like everyone here” when he fronted up to the Federal Court for a directions hearing on March 27.

It is also a time-consuming case that requires a lot of man-hours, as there are hours of audio, emails, and text messages for both sides to pore over.

According to the source, Kyle is already thinking about his future and figuring out who he could do radio with if Jackie O doesn’t want to return to working with him.

The frontrunner so far seems to be Sophie Monk, the Bachelorette alum, who shares a vibe similar to Jackie’s: glamorous yet relatable.

The source pointed out that Kyle’s known her for years, that they’re mates on and off the airwaves, and that they have proven chemistry because Sophie’s filled in for Jackie before.

“Sophie’s a logical next step,” the source explained.

“When Kyle pops back on-air, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sophie is the co-host. She is fantastic, lovely with everyone and very giving on-air.”

The clincher would be that the Bardot alum would likely have to relocate, since she lives on the Central Coast.
