Prince William might be royal, but he’s still one of the boys!
The Prince of Wales, 43, warmly reacted when a well-wisher shouted out a supportive word as he departed a royal engagement in Peckham, London, on June 3.
As seen in a video shared to TikTok by fan account MyRoyalNews, the heir to the throne gave a wave from the back of a chauffeured car as he departed The Prince of Peckham Pub.
A group of young men cheered on the corner as his car drove up, and a fan who shouted, “I love you bro!” caught William’s attention.

“I love you, bro!” the young man said again, and William stuck his arm out of the car window to shake his hand as his Land Rover rolled to a stop, in a rare move.
“Thanks! Bye, guys,” William said, as the young men kept yelling and cheering.
“I can’t believe it!” another fan said, which made a security officer on the ground laugh, too.
Though the British royals don’t often stop their cars to meet people, William’s wife, Kate Middleton, has done so previously.
Prince William visited the inclusive “pub for all” to learn more about its programs for fostering community connection and combatting loneliness, initiatives he has focused on for his ongoing work in the mental health sector.

The heir to the throne was hosted by Prince of Peckham Pub founder Clement Ogbonnaya, who was recognized in King Charles’ 2026 New Year’s Honours List for his outstanding contributions to the local community. Ogbonnaya’s pub runs a weekly “Chatty Patty” program offering free tea and conversation to people seeking companionship and social interaction, and William met participants involved in the program to learn about how the power of community supports wellbeing and reduces isolation.
The Prince of Wales had another warm interaction with someone he met there and received a big hug from a little girl during group photos outside the community-led venue established in 2017.

William laughed and chatted with a few different groups of people in a video shared to his official Instagram and was totally in the zone as he pulled a pint.
“It’s a lot of pressure,” he said during the attempt and declared his work was “Not bad,” when the job was done.
“I’d say it’s pretty good,” he joked and slapped hands with Ogbonnaya, as onlookers cheered.
