A royal commentator has given his view of Harry and Meghan’s latest move, questioning their motives as their public image appears to be a “diabolical mess”. The couple’s trip to the UK has been quite the saga over the past few weeks. The plan was originally for the 41-year-old Prince to be joined by his wife and their two children during his time in the UK, but the plan was changed due to security concerns.
Harry arrived in the UK last Monday on his own and attended several public engagements. Meanwhile, Meghan followed him over days later, but it was confirmed before her arrival that she would not make any public appearances when back in the UK. The couple’s relationship with the Royal Family has been frosty for years, so all eyes were on the King this weekend as he was due to reunite with the pair and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Famed Royal journalist and commentator Neil Sean gave his thoughts on Harry and Meghan’s UK visit and their private meeting with King Charles III, and speculated on the reasons behind their decision to come back after years of “trashing” the monarchy.
“Rest assured, there was a meeting,” he said. “It didn’t go exactly fully to plan, though, because nothing ever does, really, with Harry and Meghan.
“I think they all start out with good intentions, and their ideas seemingly work quite well. But then it always seems to go wrong, because whether it’s their misguidedness, or whoever is telling them what to do and what to say.
“Meghan’s goal, really, was to have that number one front page sort of picture, even just a pap shot of them arriving.”
He said that this was the week that Harry was “supposed to come back and re-evaluate everything”.
“It was always going to be wonderful, and everybody was going to, you know, fully see the fact that they’d miss the family, even though they spent years trashing them,” he added, sarcastically.
“The thing that I find interesting… If it had been the opposite way around, and Prince Harry had managed to secure the millions from, say, the newspaper, would he have wanted to meet the King?
“Likewise, with Markle, if her podcast had been successful, if her TV series [was successful], would they have wanted to reconnect? Remember, this is a woman who decided to trash on the most historical date of his life, his coronation. She couldn’t be bothered to turn up.
“It’s funny how when you follow the money, this all happens. And this is really how transparent, in my opinion, these two really are.”
