Meghan Markle has been accused of copying Prince William with one move on her and Prince Harry’s Australia tour. Just days ago, Meghan and Harry stepped out on their trip to Australia to meet volunteer first responders from Bondi Surf Bathers’ Life Saving Club during a visit to Bondi Beach.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent time talking to the volunteers, who played a crucial role in protecting beachgoers and saving lives during the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach on December 14. While meeting volunteers, Meghan appeared to be asked to answer the phone to someone one of the volunteers knows.

The duchess could be heard introducing herself on the call before handing the phone over.

While the moment was fleeting, a video of it was posted on X, and has resulted in many being quick to compare Meghan’s gesture to one recently made by Prince William.

This is because just last month, Prince William was seen talking to a member of the public on a phone in Cornwall during a visit to Gear Farm Pasty Company.

The prince ended up taking an order for a customer, with the moment filmed and making headlines.

While the two scenarios regarding the phone calls were different, Meghan’s chat on the phone in Australia has resulted in some people accusing her of copying her estranged brother-in-law.

One person wrote on X: “She always copies everything the Prince and Princess of Wales does.”

Someone else said: “It really does seem like she’s auditioning for being a royal again.”

Another royal watcher said: “It’s just embarrassing, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”

Meghan has not commented on the online claims that she was copying Prince William.
