Prince Harry has been ripped to shreds on The Royals Uncensored as he faces mounting pressure ahead of his upcoming UK trip next week. The Duke of Sussex is due to return to London with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children for the first time in four years. However, those arrangements are now uncertain following the rejection of his request for police protection.

King Charles also extended an offer of accommodation at a royal residence, which would ensure a substantial level of security. However, the Sussexes will not receive full police protection, funded by the taxpayer, which might have included a police escort when travelling across the country.

Discussing the latest updates on the YouTube show, The Royals Uncensored, host Katie Nicholl accused the Prince of “bad manners” as she called out his “offensive” gesture to the King. Opening the topic to her guests, former butler to the King, Grant Harrold, revealed that there are several properties the Sussexes could reside in during their stay.

He explained: “I know Highgrove’s outside London, but that’s his childhood home, that’s where he spent a lot of his time. It’s designed so that he could quite easily have his family there; the King’s not always there.

“I know that William and Catherine have gone up there with the family as well. So, that’s always a possibility. With royal residencies, there are quite a few, so maybe there are some in the Windsor estate, even possibly?”

His co-star, Jo Elvin, argued that the likelihood of the family staying in the same estate as the Wales’ was slim at best. She asked: “Can you see them staying in the Windsor estate if that’s where the Waleses are?

“I think that’s the one thing that we do feel quite confident on: that there’s no communication there between William and Harry.” It was at this point that broadcaster Katie Nicholl hit out at the Duke live on air.

She fumed: “The King’s been very forgiving, I think he’s been very generous. But can I just point out that it is the height of bad manners to be offered a royal residence and not at least let the King know whether you’re going to stay or not.

“The Palace aides I’m speaking to still haven’t had an official response. But I did get on the phone with the Home Office, and I did speak to a spokesperson just so we can be clear about it for this show. There is no change to the security arrangements; he won’t be getting security.”

Harry has consistently stated he is keen to bring his children to Britain so they can discover their heritage. But since his police protection was withdrawn in 2020 when he stepped back as a working royal, he has declined to do so, citing safety concerns

The dad-of-two had reportedly anticipated that his security arrangements would be altered for this visit. And when RAVEC – the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, which determines security provision for senior royals on behalf of the Home Office – informed the couple that this would not happen, Harry was said to have been “devastated”.

However, a Government spokesperson states its protective security system was “rigorous and proportionate”. A source said Harry “has grown increasingly frustrated with the whole process and has had to alter his standpoint” on their upcoming plans.
