Meghan Markle sent out a new message to her fans, talking all about “summer invitations” just hours after the latest reports about the Sussexes being offered a royal residence for their return to the UK next month. The Duchess of Sussex is tipped to join her husband, Prince Harry for a joint trip to the UK in July, to attend a One Year To Go event for the Invictus Games in Birmingham in 2027.
Harry and Meghan are reportedly bringing their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with them, and the family is understood to have been offered one of the King’s private residences for their stay. It is also understood that they have not yet replied. On Friday evening, the Duchess of Sussex sent a new newsletter to her As Ever fans, talking about the summer hosting.

In what can be seen as a timely coincidence, Meghan said that “summer invitations have a way of arriving all at once”.
She then advertised two of her brand’s products: the 2024 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and her trio-of-jams bundle.
Meghan’s message read: “Summer invitations have a way of arriving all at once. A backyard dinner.
“An impromptu gathering on the patio. A table that seems to grow as more friends arrive.
“For your next soirée, bring a bottle of our 2024 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc to open and enjoy together. Bright, refreshing, and made for lingering conversations.”
She added: “And for your hostess, a thoughtful gift to enjoy beyond the evening. Our Favourites, Gifted pairs beautifully with the season, featuring a giftable box of our fruit spreads they can savour in the days ahead, along with chocolates perfect for sharing around the table that night.

“A simple gesture, and a small way to say thank you.”
Royal fans were quit to spot the timing of the newsletter and took to social media to express their views.
One user wrote on X: “So predictable and basic.”
Another one said: “It’s all SEO, PR and content now, isn’t it? This woman has no values. No morality. No familial loyalty or depth.
“Harry said he wanted a family, not an institution. But he had a family – messy, loving, infuriating, imperfect. Like every family. What he has now is a brand.”
A third one commented: “She’s as subtle as a sledgehammer to the forehead.”
A fifth user opined: “Oh, the ‘hidden messages’… not! She still thinks she has the upper hand.”
Harry and Meghan staying at a palace with their children would signal a major thawing in the relationship between the King and his son, and offer the perfect opportunity for Charles to reconnect with the young royals.
It is four years since Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, last saw their grandfather, the King, in person during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
