The Sh00ting of an 18-Year-Old Man in Sydney Takes a Shocking New Turn: A Burned-Out Toyota Hilux May Be the Key to Uncovering the Whole Truth

Police are investigating whether a shooting in western Sydney that left a teenager in hospital is gang-related.

The gunman is still on the run, as the man, 18, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Police believe the teenager was shot in a nearby street and driven to Mimosa Road. Today

He is now in a stable condition, police said.

Emergency services rushed to Mimosa Road, near Highview Avenue, in Greenacre just after 9pm on Thursday after reports of a shooting.

On arrival, they found the man in the passenger seat of a Skoda SUV, he had been shot twice in the chest.

Police believe he was shot on nearby Banksia Street, and was driven to Mimosa Road. Police said they spoke to the driver.

It has not been confirmed if they are connected to the shooting.

The shooting is believed to be a targeted attack, and police are investigating whether the shooting is linked to the gangland world.

A burnt-out Toyota Hilux, believed to be linked to the shooting, was found on Celia Street Granville.

Police are continuing to investigate, and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
