Hip-Hop/R&B power couple, Nelly and Ashanti, continue to solidify their status as the main attraction of the Halloween season, making a major splash at Nelly’s annual Halloween and birthday celebration. This year, the couple paid homage to their hip-hop roots by transforming into two West Coast legends: Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.

The party, hosted in Atlanta, Georgia, on the night of October 31, followed a “West Coast Style” theme, attracting numerous celebrity friends and industry peers. The event coincided with Nelly’s birthday, making it one of the most anticipated Halloween gatherings of the year.

Detailed and Impressive Transformations

Nelly chose to embody rap icon Snoop Dogg with astonishing accuracy. He wore a flannel shirt, a beanie, and recreated Snoop Dogg’s signature early-era braids. Ashanti, always striking with her refined fashion sense, transformed into Snoop Dogg’s legendary production partner, Dr. Dre, complete with a baseball cap, sunglasses, and a composed demeanor.

This costume choice was not only visually impressive but also carried a deep historical significance, recreating the looks of two pivotal figures from the classic album The Chronic era.

Guests and Party Atmosphere

The party unfolded in a vibrant atmosphere, living up to the comment made by one guest: “It was a crazy night.” Other celebrity attendees included renowned producer Jermaine Dupri, alongside several figures who have collaborated with Nelly throughout his career.

The couple, Nelly and Ashanti, with assistance from designer Kenny “Kas” Flanagan, kept their costume theme tightly under wraps until the last minute, generating significant excitement on social media. This marks the fifth consecutive year Nelly and Ashanti have collaborated to create an iconic Halloween look, following themes like Motown (2022), G.I.-Moe (2023), and Mo-Western (2024).

Despite recent news about the couple expecting their first child, they still made time to host and attend the event, demonstrating their commitment to their festive traditions. The party served as both a birthday celebration and a night of tribute to hip-hop culture and the art of costume design.
