‘KILLER’ mom Lindsay Clancy broke down in court as the jury heard heartbreaking testimony from first responders about the desperate attempts to revive her children.
The 35-year-old former nurse was left shaking with her head in her hands as evidence was given on Friday, the fifth day of her trial, as she stands accused of murdering her three children.

On January 24, 2023, her husband Patrick came home from running errands to find Clancy lying injured outside under their bedroom window, and their three children dead inside their Massachusetts home.

Five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan had been strangled with exercise bands by their mother, who was allegedly suffering from undiagnosed postpartum psychosis.
After a voice allegedly told her to kill the children, Clancy cut her wrists and neck and leapt out of the bedroom window in an apparent botched suicide attempt that left her paralyzed from the waist down.

Sitting in her wheelchair alongside her defense attorney Kevin Reddington on Friday, Clancy broke down sobbing and shaking as emergency medicine doctors recalled desperate attempts to revive her children.
Paramedic Jennifer Stratton told the court how she “scooped him up in my arms and carried him outside to the truck” while pictures from the basement showed an exercise band next to Callan’s Mickey Mouse pajamas which were taken off by paramedics.
Emergency medicine doctor Benjamin Kaufman spoke about trying to revive eight-month-old Callan at Bell Israel Deconess Hospital in Plymouth where he regained a pulse but had no evidence of “brain function.”
“The first thing we do is give a dose of epinephrine, and in this case, you can look directly at the heart with an ultrasound,” he explained, with hopes that the adrenaline would re-start the heart.
“His heart started beating after we were able to give that dose. At that point, we continued compressions, continued giving him breaths through the breathing tube.
“At no point in time during his care did he have any brain function.”
Callan was flown to Boston Children’s Hospital but at no point was able to breathe on his own and was pronounced dead three days later after being put on life support.
Meanwhile Kaufman’s colleague and fellow ER doctor Mark Tenerowicz, told the court how medical staff spent 40 minutes desperately trying to revive three-year-old Dawson after taking over from paramedics at hospital.
“It did not look like his heart would ever start again,” the doctor said, detailing how they gave the child IV fluids, doses of adrenaline, and other treatments all while performing CPR.
At no point did he have a pulse or start breathing on his own.
Both Cora and Dawson were declared dead at that night.
Their mother clutched tissues in court as photographs were displayed on a large screen in front of her showing the scene where responders attempted to revive her children.

They included several pieces of medical equipment including a heart monitor, children’s pajamas, and blood on the floor.
Other emotional scenes played out in court when Clancy heard Patrick’s heart-wrenching 911 call in which the devastated father can be heard screaming in pure agony, court reporters revealed.
Clancy sobbed the entire time the audio was played in court with Reddington holding her hand and a recess was called after jurors were left in tears.
Meanwhile, Duxbury police officer Stephen Hall appeared visibly shaken as he took the stand and recalled arriving at the scene and finding Patrick in the backyard while Clancy was drifting in and out of consciousness “in pain.”
While recalling working the scene, Hall took deep breathes and at one point removed his glasses to wipe his eyes.
“I heard a loud scream from inside the house,” he said, after Patrick went inside the house to check on the children.

The former labor and delivery nurse does not deny killing them, but has pleaded not guilty and claims she was not criminally responsible because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.
Prosecutors argue Clancy deliberately sent her then-husband Patrick out to collect medicine and dinner so she could be left alone with the children.
The trial began with Patrick on the witness stand, describing Clancy’s declining mental health before recounting how he returned home, found her injured outside and discovered the children in the basement. Jurors have since heard his harrowing 911 call, seen the bands that were removed from the children’s necks and viewed their pajamas and other evidence from the home.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial is expected to last between six and eight weeks, meaning testimony could continue well into September.
Proceedings are scheduled to begin at around 9am ET on sitting days and normally continue through the afternoon, with morning, lunch and afternoon breaks.
Prosecutors will present their case first, calling first responders, police officers, investigators, medical professionals and other witnesses connected to the killings.
The state listed more than 180 potential witnesses, although prosecutors are not expected to call everyone named.
Jurors are also expected to visit the Clancy family’s former Duxbury home with the judge and lawyers to see the scene for themselves.
Once prosecutors rest, Clancy’s defense will begin calling its own witnesses, including people who knew her and experts expected to testify about her medication, mental health and alleged postpartum psychosis.
The defense listed more than 60 possible witnesses, but some overlap with the prosecution’s list and may not be called twice.
After both sides finish presenting evidence, lawyers will deliver closing arguments before the judge instructs jurors on the law.
The jury will then decide whether Clancy is guilty of murder or was not criminally responsible because of her mental state when she killed her children.
He added the scream had no words, “It was just a sound” and that he walked to the basement to find one of the children lying on his back, shirtless in a diaper, before all the kids were rushed out of the home by medical responders.
Hall described Cora and Callan as being “motionless” on the floor while being worked on by paramedics and detailed how he had to keep helping Clancy put her oxygen mask back on as she kept removing it.
The outcome of the murder case will largely hinge on testimonies from first responders about her physical condition and the attempt to end her life, which included critical ‘code blue’ evidence.
The jury of 12 women and six men who were taken on a harrowing tour of the crime scene and other locations related to the case on Friday, will have to determine if Clancy killed her children with intent or if she was mentally incapable of knowing what she was doing.
Her defense team argue she is not-guilty by reason of insanity, due to her extreme mental health struggles at the time rendering her not criminally responsible for the deaths of her children.
Her now ex-husband Patrick filed a wrongful death lawsuit in January 2026 against Clancy’s healthcare providers after she was prescribed 13 different medications and hospitalized several times but discharged weeks before the killings.
