Heartbreaking: 27-year-old woman was k!:lled by a Tesla while waiting to cross the road outside a shopping centre
A woman killed while waiting at a pedestrian crossing outside a Melbourne shopping centre has been remembered as a “kind soul” by her loved ones.
Jennifer Keen, 27, was on her lunch break when a Tesla veered into her path, before ploughing into the front of Martini+Co at Westfield Knox in Wantirna South on Monday.

Paramedics attempted to revive her, but she died at the scene.
Keen was just 100 metres from her office, a nearby call centre, when she was killed.
Friends have paid tribute to the “bubbly” young woman, who loved anime and will be sorely missed.
One of Keen’s colleagues, Olivia, described her “just the sweetest person”.
“She was just so sweet and to know that was how she left this world is just… horrible,” she told 9News.
“She should be remembered as the person who was happy to be here and happy to be alive.
“She really was just a kind soul.”
A second person seated at the cafe was injured at the crash and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The 55-year-old female driver of the car and her passenger were taken to Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver is assisting police with the investigation.

Inspector Ben Gordon told reporters police believe the driver of the Tesla may have failed to give way at the zebra crossing near the restaurant, causing the car to veer into the venue.
The car crashed into a steel pylon on impact and caused significant damage.
A crime scene was established and Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.
Officers have spoken to customers and staff who witnessed the crash.
