While the media continues to buzz about Royal events across the Atlantic, former Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose to celebrate Halloween (October 31, 2025) in a traditional and discreet American style, taking their two children, Archie (age 6) and Lilibet (age 4), trick-or-treating in their quiet Montecito neighborhood.
This was a rare and notable sight, as the Sussex family fully immersed themselves in the festive atmosphere, demonstrating that they are enjoying a simple life, away from the Royal spotlight.
The Head-Turning Costumes
Whereas their attire might once have been scrutinized by Royal protocol, this year saw an explosion of imagination.
Archie Harrison, the 6-year-old boy, impressed with his Speedy Superhero costume featuring a bright red cape, constantly running and cheering as he received candy.
Lilibet Diana, 4, transformed into a lovely Fairy Butterfly with shimmering pink wings. She stayed close to her mother Meghan and continuously smiled at passersby.
Harry and Meghan also kept things simple and discreet. Meghan was seen wearing a simple mask and an oversized jacket, while Harry wore a baseball cap and a dark mask, primarily focused on protecting and guiding their children.
Simplicity Is the Choice
A neighbor who witnessed the scene shared with local media: “They looked just like any other family in the neighborhood. Harry was patiently tying Archie’s shoes, and Meghan was giggling as Lilibet tried to stuff too much candy into her bag.”
This 2025 Halloween event once again affirms Harry and Meghan’s desire to raise their children in a normal, private environment, far removed from the strict rules of the Palace.
While King Charles III faces pressure from Prince William regarding the troubles of Prince Andrew, Harry and Meghan chose to celebrate the spooky holiday lightly, focusing on the small family joys in California.
