Calling all horror fans! Netflix’s hotly anticipated new series, Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, has finally arrived, and if you love spine-chilling thrillers that will have you watching through shielded eyes, then this one is for you.

This twist-filled and terrifying eight-parter, from creator Haley Z. Boston and executive producers the Duffer Brothers, follows nearlyweds Rachel (Camila Morrone, Daisy Jones & The Six) and Nicky (Adam DiMarco, The White Lotus) in the days leading up to their intimate nuptials, held at the groom’s secluded family cabin.

What to expect from Something Very Bad is Going to Happen

The story centres on Rachel and Nicky as they prepare for their upcoming nuptials at the groom’s secluded family cabin.

But as they embark on the long car journey to the cabin, a series of eerie events begins to unfold.

The synopsis reads: “If Carrie is horror’s version of a girl becoming a woman, and Rosemary’s Baby is the horrific version of a woman becoming a mother, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen is horror’s take on a woman becoming a wife.

“Rachel is getting married in five days. Together with her fiancé, Nicky, she embarks on a road trip to his family’s vacation home, secluded in a snowy forest, for the intimate wedding ceremony of their dreams.

Who stars in the series?

Camila Morrone, known for her roles in Daisy Jones & The Six and The Night Manager, leads the cast as paranoia-filled bride Rachel, while Adam DiMarco (The White Lotus, Overcompensating) plays her fiancé Nicky.

They’re joined by Jennifer Jason Leigh (Fargo, Annihilation) and Ted Levine (Monk, Big Sky) as Nicky’s parents Victoria and Boris, Gus Birney (Shining Vale, ​The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window) and Jeff Wilbusch (Unorthodox, Oslo) as siblings Portia and Jules and Karla Crome (The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde, Lazarus) as Jule’s wife Nell.

Meanwhile, Sawyer Fraser (The Good Doctor) plays Jules’s son, Jude.
