A man has fronted court charged with the alleged murder of his wife and two children.
The 47-year-old is accused of killing his 46-year-old wife and two boys, aged 12 and 4, at their home on Raymond Ave in the southwestern Sydney suburb of Campbelltown before calling emergency services about 8pm on Monday.
The three bodies were found in separate rooms of the home with “significant” injuries.
7NEWS understands both boys had severe intellectual disabilities, were suffering from autism and were non-verbal.
The mother was supporting the family through work while the man was the primary carer.
“Whilst I can’t give you specific information in regards to how they passed, what I can tell you is all three persons sustained significant injuries and it was a particularly violent crime scene,” Acting Superintendent Michael Moroney said.
A 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with three counts of domestic violence murder.

His case was heard in Campbelltown Local Court for the first time on Tuesday, where he did not apply for bail.
“My client is pretty distressed at the moment,” the man’s lawyer Jawad Hosain told reporters outside the courthouse.
“It’s obviously a tragic set of circumstances for the victims, the community and the family of the victims and he’s pretty distraught.”
Police are not currently searching for anyone else and believe “there are no outstanding offenders”.
“Police have located a number of items inside the premises which would be of interest in regards to the injuries sustained by those people,” he said.
“Until that crime scene is processed, I can’t confirm the exact cause of deaths of those people at this time.”
The family had moved to Australia from Bangladesh about 10 years ago and had lived in the same house the entire time.
A neighbour who lived directly next door and knew the family well expressed shock at the tragedy.
“I mean, I got to know them quite well, actually. I was just in shock, really. I gave them some toys. They were lovely. Whenever I went to see them, they were so friendly. They were really good,” the neighbour said.
