Heartbreaking Tragedy: Pre-g-nant Teen, 17, D-i-es Just Hours Before Planned Gen-der Reveal as Sister’s Emotional Tribute Breaks Hearts

A PREGNANT 17-year-old died just hours after a planned gender reveal party for her unborn child, with her family paying moving tribute.

Summer Rose Miles, 17, collapsed at home in Nottingham on July 9 before being rushed to hospital by air ambulance.

While on life support, on the day her gender reveal celebration was due to take place, she delivered her tiny baby, who was born sleeping.

Summer underwent emergency surgery, but the damage to her brain stem proved too severe.

Her devastated sister, Chloe Jade, paid tribute to the “beautiful” teenager as she launched a GoFundMe page to help their heartbroken parents, Mandy and Scott, cover funeral costs, the Nottingham Post reported.

Summer, from Top Valley, had matured immensely after becoming pregnant and possessed a “different light about her,” her sister told the outlet.

Chloe said: “She loves children so much, and although young, and it was a shock for everyone, we know she’d have been the best mummy ever, and everyone was looking forward to the next chapter.”

Despite initial struggles at school, she excelled in college, where she met her boyfriend and best friend, Carson.

The couple’s gender reveal had been set for July 11 in her family’s garden, with Summer convinced she was expecting a girl.

Chloe told the Nottingham Post: “The gender reveal decorations and plans were all prepped by my mum, following a private scan gifted to her from her boyfriend’s family who would have also attended.

“Unfortunately the scan never had a chance to happen. One of the last things Summer told my mum was that she was thankful for how nice she had made the garden look for her big day outside.”

Doctors described the fatal haemorrhage as “spontaneous, tragic, and exceptionally rare” for a fit and healthy girl of her age, according to her family.

Remembered by loved ones as a “whirlwind of chaos and laughter,” the horse-loving teenager was a self-described “little rebel” who was devoted to her family.

She was particularly close to her mother, Mandy, whom she treated as a best friend, as well as her protective older brother, Jordan, her father, Scott, and her young niece, Ava.

Her family said they know she would have been the “best mummy ever” as they face a tragedy that has left them struggling to comprehend how quickly life has changed.

And while Chloe reflected on the special memories, she and her family are also going through hell, by having to arrange a final farewell for Summer.

Writing an emotional message on the fundraiser, she said: “My world has fallen apart, and my heart is broken beyond words.

“I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of my family to offer whatever help and support I can during the most devastating time of our lives.

“No parent should ever have to bury their child, especially a 17-year-old daughter and her baby.

“We are not asking for anything more than a little help towards easing the financial burden that comes with arranging the beautiful farewell that Summer and her baby deserve.

“We will give them the best send-off we possibly can, no matter what & no matter the cost.

“But if I can take even a small amount of pressure away from Mum and Dad, it would mean everything and more.”
