A man has died after he was shot in Sydney‘s north-west during the morning peak hour.
Emergency services were called to North Rocks Road in Carlingford just after 7am on Wednesday.
On arrival, officers found a man in his 30s with significant injuries inside a car.
He was unable to be revived and died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
Police have established a crime scene and inquiries are ongoing. Detectives from the homicide squad have been notified.
North Rocks Road has been closed and the public is urged to avoid the area.
