Princess Catherine wowed crowds at Trooping the Colour as she joined senior royals for the King’s annual Birthday Parade in London today.

Dressed in a beautiful baby blue dress and matching hat, the Princess of Wales, 44, was pictured arriving at Buckingham Palace in a car alongside Prince William and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as thousands of royal fans lined The Mall to catch a glimpse of the family.

The Princess completed her look with sparkling jewellery and carefully coordinated accessories, including the earrings she wore to Prince Louis’ christening back in 2018. The Princess also wore her Irish Guards Regimental Brooch in her role as the Colonel of the Irish Guards.

The Princess’s polished appearance reflected that same approach, embracing a confident colour choice while maintaining the timeless elegance that has become synonymous with her style. Trooping the Colour is one of the highlights of the royal calendar and marks the Sovereign’s official birthday. Steeped in centuries of military tradition, the annual spectacle brings together more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians in a display of ceremonial precision and pageantry.

The event dates back more than 260 years and sees regiments of the Household Division parade before the monarch on Horse Guards Parade in central London.

Following their arrival, members of the Royal Family watched as the King inspected the troops before the regimental colour was carried through the ranks in the traditional ceremony known as “trooping the colour”. The occasion also includes military bands, marching displays and a royal salute, making it one of the largest and most significant military events in the country.

After the parade concludes, the Royal Family traditionally returns to Buckingham Palace, where they gather on the famous balcony to watch an RAF flypast over London. The balcony appearance is often one of the most photographed moments of the day, drawing huge crowds and millions of television viewers worldwide.

This year’s celebrations once again brought together senior members of the Royal Family for one of the monarchy’s most important public events, with Princess Catherine taking centre stage as she joined the nation in marking the King’s official birthday.
