Towie’s Jordan is out of hospital but is still recovering
The Only Way Is Essex star Jordan Brook has endured a terrifying health battle over recent months.
Following an emergency hospital admission with an unidentified illness, the reality star underwent numerous examinations before doctors revealed the devastating news that he had contracted both meningitis and encephalitis.
The 31-year-old was left unable to walk or talk as the virus attacked his brain. At the time, he was using a wheelchair and had “acute memory loss” amid a host of other symptoms.
Jordan was discharged from the hospital after a 22-day stay, but he is still recovering.
The star, who recently welcomed his first child with girlfriend Sophie Kasaei, shared a fresh health update with fans as he admitted that he’s “worried” he won’t be strong enough for his son.

uring the first episode of the new series of TOWIE, which aired last night (August 2nd), Jordan explained to friends Harry, Diags, and Will that he was full of self-doubt, but that he had to remind himself it was part of his recovery.
In a heartfelt moment, he said, “I’m worried I’m not going to be strong enough for my boy.”
Harry was quick to offer his support as he jumped in and said, “I totally get it and understand you want to be there for Sophie and be ready for the baby to come and be the dad you’ve always dreamed of being.
“But you have got to put yourself first. Do not pressure yourself into getting better because you don’t wanna make yourself worse.”
Elsewhere, Sophie broke down in tears as she said Jordan ‘isn’t the same’ after his meningitis battle.

Jordan admitted that he’s “worried” he won’t be strong enough for his son.
Speaking to Livvy and Becks, Sophie said, “We were going to the Maldives. I had maternity shoots, 3D scans, we were doing the room up, and we were in the biggest bubble. So I went to the hospital days later and looked at him on the bed, and he couldn’t even look me in the eyes. He was just like asleep.”
She added: “He was non-verbal cos his brain was swelling at such a rapid rate, so it was putting pressure on the brain and on his skull.”
She explained that she just sat beside him from 9am until 10pm at night because she wanted to be with him.
Sophie, who was still pregnant at the time of filming, broke down into tears as she explained: “I just wanted to be in his presence.” She explained that she had just prayed all the time that he would come back to her, as her friends had told her he had now.
A teary Sophie explained: “But it’s not the same. He’s not the same. He’s got scarring on his brain. The front part of his brain is scarred, and his moods will be really up and down. And he’ll be really emotional, and he’ll get quite forgetful, and he’s obviously got like a limp now, so he can’t really do much.”
She added, “I don’t think we would have got through it without this little boy inside. I think that’s what kept him strong.”
