The Adelaide woman said she turned down the money despite the fact she really needed it.

Married At First Sight bride Bec Zacharia revealed she recently turned down thousands of dollars for a quick and easy job, despite admitting she really needed the money.
The Adelaide woman appeared on the MAFS Funny podcast and chatted with host Joshua Fox about how people manage their brand and image after appearing on a reality TV show.
He told the 35-year-old that selling staged paparazzi pictures and doing sponsored posts that go against a person’s morals isn’t a great idea.
Bec agreed, but highlighted the assumption that once you come off a show like MAFS, you’re going to be rich, famous, and in demand.
“Someone just DM’ed me and said, ‘We’ll give you $6,000 to promote a gambling brand,’” she said.
Bec declined the offer for several reasons, including that controversial MAFS groom Chris Nield revealed he’d been battling a gambling addiction since he was 18.
“I could really use that $6,000 right now. Like, it would be really, really life-changing for me,” she said.
“But out of principle, why would I go and promote a gambling brand when one of my best friends has just spent 150 days not gambling after 15 years, just for a few grand to tide me over?

Bec was on the most recent season of MAFS, where she was paired with Danny Hewitt.
“I think it’s really important to look and work out what does align with you and you don’t just take everything.”
Bec revealed recently that she was fired from her sales job due to her behaviour on the Channel 9 program and was renting out her home.
She explained that she was desperate to find work, but her time on MAFS made her “unemployable”.
What has Bec been offered since leaving MAFS?
She claimed that she’d also been offered money for photos or to fake a romance with a fellow cast member to build up her brand.
Bec said that even though she is still incredibly desperate for money, she had to really think about whether these things would benefit her in the long run.
She claimed a lot of people told her, while the show was on Channel 9, that she’d be a star, and now those same individuals had disappeared.
“I think the sad part of it is that your trust is very faulted after this because you’re promised everything and then all of a sudden it’s gone,” she said.
Bec turning down the gambling advertising stoked a lot of conversation among fans of the Channel 9 show.
“I respect Bec for this,” one said.
“First time I’ve actually liked her,” another added.
But others claimed that she should have just “taken the money”.
