HE WAS JUST A DISTRACTION?! Love Island Alum Claims Mica’s Backstage Behavior With Samraj Was All an ACT!
Love Island fans have been buzzing with speculation about the real nature of Mica and Samraj’s rekindled connection — and now an eliminated islander has shed new light on the situation.
Halle Brown, who was dramatically dumped from the villa after just three days, has cast serious doubt on whether Mica is genuinely invested in her coupling with Samraj. According to Halle, the signs point to Samraj potentially serving as a strategic safety net rather than a romantic endgame.

Despite starting their villa journey together, Mica and Samraj quickly drifted apart as Mica explored connections elsewhere — most notably with Simba. When that flirtation fizzled, Mica suddenly found herself on the chopping block, prompting a renewed focus on her original partner.
But Halle, speaking to The Sun’s Showbiz Fix, revealed that the pair’s interactions were surprisingly limited during her time in the villa.
“When I was in there, there wasn’t really a talk of Samraj because she was excited for the new bombshell,” Halle said when asked if Mica truly liked him. “Not too sure.”
Halle went further, suggesting that Mica’s closeness to Samraj may be more about survival than sparks. When directly asked if she viewed him as a safe option, the Love Island alum replied: “Potentially.”
She did, however, acknowledge Samraj’s undeniable appeal. “The thing is though, he is a really good looking boy and he is really lovely in there – very complimenting,” Halle added.

The comments fuel existing fan theories that Mica’s renewed interest in Samraj coincided conveniently with her own vulnerability in the villa. Observers noted that the pair appeared to grow closer primarily after Mica’s position became precarious.
Halle also weighed in on another emotional moment that raised eyebrows: Mica’s offer to leave the villa when islanders were forced to choose who should be sent home.
“Obviously she got upset again and said, listen guys, I think it’s my time, I’m happy to go,” Halle recalled. However, she questioned the authenticity of the gesture. “I’m not too sure because when Sam and Namibia went, she got a bit upset as well in the changing room saying that she feels like it should have been her. So I feel like she did have a bit, some sort of guilt.”
Despite the tears, the islanders ultimately decided Mica would stay, leaving viewers to wonder whether her displays of emotion were driven by genuine remorse or strategic self-preservation.
As the season continues to deliver twists and turns, Halle’s candid insights provide a rare backstage perspective on one of the villa’s most talked-about pairings. Is Samraj truly the one for Mica — or simply the decoy keeping her in the game? Only time (and perhaps more bombshells) will tell.
