BROTHERS CHARGED WITH MURDER AFTER SHOOTOUT ACCIDENTALLY KILLS INNOCENT 14-YEAR-OLD IN GLASGOW VILLAGE
Tyron Bankhead, 17, and Tymon Bankhead have been charged in connection with a 2025 shootout in Glasgow Village that investigators say led to the death of an innocent 14-year-old boy who was inside his home.
According to investigators, two groups involving juveniles exchanged gunfire near the 10200 block of Hobkirk Drive on October 8, 2025. Authorities allege the Bankhead brothers, along with two other unidentified individuals, coordinated their movements, cut through yards, and positioned themselves before the gunfire erupted. Detectives say those actions were captured on residential surveillance cameras.
Investigators said shots were fired by both groups, but ballistic evidence determined the fatal bullet that struck the 14-year-old victim, identified only as D.M., came from the direction of the group that included the Bankhead brothers. The teen was inside his home when he was struck and later died from his injuries.
The St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons continues to investigate the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators.
